Conservation

Let's protect the ocean!

At Exploramar Diving, we believe responsible tourism can be a powerful tool to protect the ocean. That’s why marine conservation is at the heart of everything we do.

We are partners with Fundación Enclave Azul, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting Ecuador’s marine and coastal ecosystems. Through this alliance, we support environmental education and active conservation projects, with special emphasis on Machalilla National Park. In this effort, working closely with local communities is essential, as it creates sustainable opportunities that strengthen the connection between people and the protection of the marine environment.

Collaborative Projects

We believe that lasting ocean conservation is only possible through collective effort. That’s why we work hand in hand with local communities, researchers, and partner organizations to support projects that protect marine life and promote sustainable development.

Patas Azules

Is an initiative that connects children from coastal communities with the ocean. Through training in aquatic skills, conservation activities, sea turtle monitoring, and environmental education, we promote respect for marine ecosystems and help nurture future generations committed to their protection.

Mar sin Rastro

Is an initiative dedicated to protecting marine ecosystems through underwater and beach cleanups, coral reef restoration, and environmental education. With the support of local organizations and volunteers, we promote ocean conservation and foster the development of communities committed to its protection.

    Ocean Experiences with a Purpose

At Exploramar Diving, in addition to providing logistical support for these initiatives, we allocate a percentage of our profits to the conservation projects we promote with our partners. Thus, each shared experience not only connects you with the beauty of the ocean, but also actively contributes to its protection. When you dive with us, you're not just exploring the ocean—you're also helping to care for it.

At Exploramar, every trip to the sea is also an opportunity to protect the ocean. We invite you to participate in citizen science projects: during your trips, you can help us identify giant manta rays and humpback whales by photographing their unique markings. You can share these records with us or send them directly to specialized platforms like MantaTrust or the Pacific Whale Foundation, where they help monitor individuals and expand global knowledge about their migrations, behaviors, and health. Your experience at sea can provide valuable data for the conservation of these iconic species!
